A scientific report detailing the characteristics of High Mass X-ray Binaries (HMXB) Cen X-3 and PSR B1259-63. Analysis of their behaviour in their respective systems was conducted using Bash scripting.

This report looks at the emission of hard and soft x-rays and also the nature of the accretion in both systems.
Initally, raw data from XMM Newton was processed and an x-ray image of the source was created.

Data was then filtered to allow for lightcurve and spectra analysis using "lcurve" and "xspec" commands respectively.
